O’Neill & Brennan have recently been involved in ISG’s ‘Women in Construction’ program and welcomed Irene Maw to shadow our Logistics Manager, Narcis Pantalie, for a week to see how our Logistics operation works on site.

Irene was invited to our ISG Waterloo Project in London, a £200 million retail, leisure, and culture development project, and was given an in depth view into what’s involved logistically for a project of this scale. She was shown the daily site processes, including inductions and team briefings, as well as the different processes and responsibilities from waste management to traffic management. Later on in the week, Irene was shown the project specific documents, safety inspections, and was then involved in helping re-design and re-route walkways, and erect and amend site signage. She finished the week by giving a Toolbox Talk and proceeded to plan all safety routes, paperwork, and update the plans for the following week.

It was an invaluable week for Irene as she gained great experience and a real insight into the various components that make up a logistics package. We’d like to thank Irene for helping us during that week and look forward to seeing her on-site again in the near future!

This isn’t the only way O’Neill & Brennan have been involved with ‘Women in Construction’ as we are certified Gold members. Find out more here.
