O'Neill & Brennan recently learnt of some incredibly positive feedback that was given by a pedestrian regarding how pleasant and professional Traffic Marshal's on our Morgan Sindall Hackney Project have been. The project, like the majority of sites in the capital, do have an impact on the general public and their ability to continue their journey undisrupted. But the manner in which the Traffic Marshals have communicated with people and for them to be commended on their conduct demonstrates the excellent job they are doing and the impact that TFL's Elite Traffic Marshal training has had. The training, which all of our Traffic Marshal's have completed, covers the Considerate Constructors Scheme's best practice on elite marshalling.
Libby, who regularly passes through the surrounding area of the Hackney site en route to work, was highly complimentary of the Traffic Marshal teams etiquette,
"I just wanted to give you some feedback - you have a number of traffic marshals on the streets around your site. I cycle past them every day on Pitfield Street and they are always courteous, cheerful, and pleasant, as well as very safety conscious. I wanted to let you know that yesterday, in the pouring rain, they held me up for around five minutes while a lorry had to turn. One chap held an umbrella over my head to shelter me while I was waiting, which was above and beyond the call of duty. They were very sympathetic to the weather conditions, and apologised profusely for holding me up. Please pass on my thanks to them. It can't be easy standing out there in all weathers. With best wishes, Libby."
We would like to thank our Traffic Marshal's for the excellent efficiency in which they carry out their daily duties, but also the respectful manner in which they communicate with the public. Well done and keep up the good work.
