In December 2021, our Head of Social Value, Sasha Bayly Simmonds, was invited to the House of Commons to provide evidence on prison education. Since then, O'Neill & Brennan have partnered with the Ministry of Justice UK and New Futures Network to enhance educational opportunities within prisons. This is something we are extremely proud of and we are hoping to make a large impact in this area.

Sasha was invited back recently to the Ministry of Justice round table with Minister of Prison & Probation, Damian Hinds, as well as other like-minded employers such as GXO Logistics, Green King and Timpsons to share her expert opinion and valuable experience on working alongside prisons.

Sasha had this to say:

“It was an incredible morning, and I was thrilled to know that MOJ is actively listening to us employers and making changes for the better. Being in the same room with such successful prison employers really put into perspective all the hard work that myself, Josie Dowling, and the collective team at O'Neill & Brennan have put in. We are proud to be a part of this journey towards a brighter future for prison education.”

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting initiative!
