Our Area Director, Gary Kelly, Attends Job Fair at HMP Moorland
On Wednesday, our Area Director, Gary Kelly, attended a Job Fair at HMP Moorland which was organised by Willmott Dixon's Assistant Social Value Manager, Rowan Todd.
They engaged with over 20 inmates who are keen to pursue a career in the construction industry. Many of the candidates already hold a CSCS card and were well prepared with their CV.
Around 70,000 people are released from prison each year. 63% of these will go on to re-offend within the first year of being released. Studies show that the best hope of preventing this is to offer support to the offenders in helping them find employment.
