Our Area Manager, Adam Badman, and Senior Resourcer, Ellis Tremlett, recently helped organise a visit to Bray & Slaughter’s Filwood Community Centre site, where participants from The Restore Trust’s sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) were invited to attend.
The visit provided participants with a great introduction to the many career opportunities the construction field offers.
The session included a talk showcasing the wide range of construction roles, the importance of supply chains, and highlighting some of Bray & Slaughter's key projects. Participants then heard directly from some of their team, and their own personal journey's working in the industry.
This was followed by a guided tour of the Filwood scheme, which provided a detailed look at the CLT (cross-laminated timber) construction and offered a valuable opportunity for Q&A on the project and the building process.
A productive day was had and thank you to Bray & Slaughter for providing an insightful visit for all attendees.
