Last Thursday, our Social Value Executive, Alicia Dobie, brought our Social Value initiative, Combat2Coffee, to Kier Group's Northolt site, where we are providing a logistics package.
Combat2Coffee are a not-for-profit project that provides purposeful rehabilitation, veteran outreach and training to recovering veterans and their families. Additionally they provide a listening ear to anyone that might need it by focusing on those that are struggling with their mental health, and encouraging people to ‘open up over a coffee’.
Their safe community spaces created by their coffee hubs and mobile coffee van events, allow veterans and their families, as well anyone in community struggling with their mental health, to go and get the support they need.
Every cup helps raise funds and awareness, giving individuals a second chance to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and support. ☕
The day was spent spilling the beans - sharing stories, raising awareness, and supporting mental health through meaningful conversation.
A great day was had, and the weather certainly came through for us!
