On Thursday 22nd May, our Regional Manager, Gavin Watchorn, and our Social Value Executive, Alicia Dobie, attended the Luton Community Job Fair, hosted by Luton Borough Council.
They were invited to attend by Euan Jackson, Trainee Social Sustainability Coordinator, at BAM UK & Ireland due to being the labour agency on one of their projects.
Gavin and Alicia set up a stall and spent the afternoon speaking to people at the job centre that are interested in getting into the construction industry, whether that be a career change, or first job. They advised them different routes they can go down, as well as general information about what to expect from a carer in the industry.
The event was a success and we were glad to be able to attend.
