Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kaiaan Orchard from Harris Academy to our office for his Year 10 work experience, spending the week with our consultants, Damian Kostromski and Zach Grandy-Smith.
Over just five days, Kaiaan embraced every opportunity to learn, gaining a real insight into the world of construction recruitment. From understanding the different roles within the industry, including Site Managers, Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, to learning how to conduct candidate calls, format CVs and build his professional confidence, he made fantastic progress.
Some of his achievements included: making around 30 candidate calls a day, assisting with a successful candidate placement,
developing a professional telephone manner, learning how to complete a full candidate registration, creating his LinkedIn profile, and, thanks to Zach Grandy-Smith, mastering the art of making a decent tea and coffee!
