Celebrating Women in Construction Week 2026

O'Neill & Brennan were proud to join the industry in celebrating Women in Construction Week. Last week was dedicated to recognising the contribution, resilience and leadership of women at every stage of their careers in construction.

The theme this year, “Level Up. Build Strong,” perfectly encapsulated the spirit of growth and empowerment as we spotlight women who are advancing the industry, breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of builders, engineers, project managers and leaders.

While representation continues to grow, the UK construction sector still has progress to make: women account for around 15% of the workforce, with far fewer visible in on-site roles and senior leadership compared with other industries.

Women in Construction Week celebrates more than achievement: it’s a rallying call to level up opportunities, strengthen inclusion and build a stronger, more diverse and innovative industry together.
