On 20th May, our Contracts Manager, Genevieve Odularu, attended the opening of the Community Skills Centre at the Talbot Road Government Hub project in Blackpool, delivered by Vinci.
The initiative will support a cohort of 11 students through a 13-week programme designed to introduce them to the construction industry.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in areas including Health & Safety, drylining, brickwork and fire protection, alongside support with CV writing and interview preparation to help them secure future employment.
It was fantastic to see industry partners coming together to invest in local talent and create meaningful pathways into construction careers.
Senior Project Manager, Jamie Jackson, spoke about the positive impact the programme will have on both the local community and the construction industry. A special thank you to Hannah Bailey, Narina Bomanji, and Jane Smith, for organising such a valuable initiative and helping to create opportunities for the next generation of construction professionals.
