On Tuesday I went to the Midland Construction Expo along with our white collar Director Tim Barton and the Birmingham Director Max Holloway. We had a stand to show people our business and to meet new contacts within the construction industry.
We arrived at 8.00am ready to set up and after a coffee and pastry got started. Max arranged a stand and I was at the ready to give out O’Neill & Brennan squidgy hats [our fantastic stress balls] and pens. The day was fairly quiet to start but things soon got busy. We listened to some of the industry’s leading experts and then had a break to network with other construction professionals. It was interesting meeting a number of individuals who as a company we haven’t worked with previously, we learnt about their businesses and how we could possibly aid them in the future.
We met some local contacts such as Jason Fox from MLM and others such as Ian Gilbert from Danaher & Walsh and some very friendly Business Development Managers from J Tomlinson and Mercer Building Solutions, all of whom we hope to work with in the future.
By the end of the day and after a rather lovely lunch we packed away and came back to the Birmingham office. Overall the day was a great opportunity to network with other contacts, and to demonstrate exactly what O’Neill & Brennan have to offer to the construction industry.
