The Opportunity
An established and growing construction business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its operational team and oversee the successful delivery of a range of high-value construction projects.
Working across a diverse portfolio including commercial, healthcare, education, refurbishment, and new-build schemes, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites from inception through to completion
- Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Monitor programme performance and proactively address any issues impacting delivery
- Maintain high standards of quality throughout all stages of construction
- Ensure compliance with all current health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry regulations
- Coordinate material deliveries, plant requirements, and site logistics
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project progression
- Manage inspections, snagging processes, and quality control procedures through to handover
- Support the commercial and project management teams in achieving successful project outcomes
- Ensure all documentation and site records are maintained accurately and efficiently
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager within a main contractor environment
- Proven track record delivering construction projects within live operational environments
- Experience managing projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, residential, or refurbishment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies, programming, and site logistics
- Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain positive working relationships
Qualifications
Essential:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
Desirable:
- Relevant construction-related qualification
- Temporary Works experience
