O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected Principal Contractor for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £2.5 million fire remediation and external façade refurbishment project in Bristol.

This is a true Number 1 Site Manager position, requiring an individual capable of taking full ownership of the project from initial mobilisation through to successful completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing site operations, managing specialist subcontractors, maintaining programme performance, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for day-to-day site operations as the lead Site Manager
• Site establishment, mobilisation, and management of all project activities
• Coordination and management of specialist façade, cladding, fire stopping, and remediation subcontractors
• Maintaining programme and driving progress to achieve project milestones
• Ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation, building regulations, and industry standards
• Managing health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements across the project
• Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, audits, and progress meetings
• Liaising with clients, consultants, residents, and project stakeholders
• Managing site documentation, reporting, and project records

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience delivering façade remediation, cladding replacement, external envelope, or fire remediation projects
• Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and remedial construction works
• Demonstrable experience operating as the lead Site Manager on similar projects
• Excellent subcontractor management, programme management, and client-facing skills
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and compliance
