Our client, a leading specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their growing London team.

The business has an excellent reputation for delivering complex façade remediation, external envelope and refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety and programme delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Site Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a major London project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing site activities from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Managing Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider site workforce.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades.
  • Monitoring progress against the programme and identifying potential delays.
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Liaising with the Project Manager, commercial team, consultants and client representatives.
  • Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates.
  • Managing inspections, quality control and snagging through to completion.
  • Ensuring all site documentation, RAMS and permits are maintained and up to date.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Site Manager or Site Manager with a strong background in construction and refurbishment.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing large or complex construction projects.
  • Experience within façade, external envelope, remediation or refurbishment would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and site management.
  • Excellent health & safety awareness.
  • The ability to lead subcontractors and site teams effectively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Relevant site management qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
