We are currently recruiting an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a well-established national housebuilder, working on a residential development in Okehampton.
Our client has an established presence in the UK housing market, delivering quality new-build homes across a range of developments. The project is a thoughtfully planned residential community on the edge of Okehampton, featuring a mix of modern family homes in a setting close to the surrounding Devon countryside.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors and trades.
Monitor progress against the construction programme.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and site housekeeping.
Inspect workmanship and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Liaise with the Project Manager regarding progress, resources and any site issues.
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the build process.
Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential new-build housing developments.
Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates.
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage site activities independently and maintain programme and quality standards.
