Senior Site Engineer – Cork

DOE: €75K – €90K

Overview:

O’Neill & Brennan is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a civil engineering team in Cork. This role will involve overseeing site engineering activities, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee site engineering activities, including setting out, levelling and surveying.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers to maintain project progress.
• Monitor construction programmes and ensure engineering activities meet deadlines.
• Review technical drawings and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years' experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
• Strong experience in setting out, surveying and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, quality control and health and safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and work effectively within a project team.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and surveying equipment.
