The Opportunity
An established and well-regarded construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to join its growing operational team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working across a varied portfolio of schemes, you will be responsible for managing programmes, budgets, quality, health & safety, and stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to handover
- Manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Lead site teams and coordinate internal departments to drive project performance
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing solutions to minimise delays and cost impacts
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures
- Drive quality standards throughout the project lifecycle and oversee successful project handover
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practice
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to site-based teams where required
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within a main contractor environment
- Track record of successfully delivering construction projects from start to finish
- Experience working across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, residential, industrial, or refurbishment
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build long-term professional relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
Qualifications
Essential:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
Desirable
- Professional membership (CIOB, RICS, or equivalent)
- Degree or HNC/HND in a construction-related discipline Relevant construction-related qualification or equivalent experience
