Senior Health & Safety Manager – Dublin
DOE: €60 – €70 per hour
Job Overview:
Our client, a main contractor is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to support their Life Science team in Dublin.
The Senior Health & Safety Manager will provide direct operational support to project teams, ensuring that health, safety, environmental, quality, and wellbeing standards are consistently implemented and maintained on site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide visible safety leadership across assigned projects, ensuring health, safety, environment, quality, and wellbeing standards are embedded throughout all project phases.
- Advise and support project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on statutory and project-specific health and safety requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client standards.
- Lead the preparation, review, and implementation of project safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely close-out of corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, toolbox talks, training, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Professional membership of IOSH or an equivalent recognised body.
- Proven experience managing health and safety on construction or engineering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence site-based teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Additional training or experience in behavioural safety, leadership, environmental, or sustainability practices considered an advantage.
