Health & Safety Advisor – South Dublin

DOE: €30 - €40 per hour

Company Overview

O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will join the project team on a new build residential development in South Dublin and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the Company's EHS Management System on the project.
  • Promote a positive health & safety culture with Site Management, subcontractors, and operatives.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and generate weekly EHS reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Attend site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and other HSE meetings as required.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Develop, maintain, and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
  • Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor with a main contractor or subcontractor in Ireland or the UK is essential.
  • Experience on new build residential projects is essential.
  • Construction and M&E experience is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant reporting/database systems.
  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel if required.
