Health & Safety Advisor – South Dublin
DOE: €30 - €40 per hour
Company Overview
O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will join the project team on a new build residential development in South Dublin and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the Company's EHS Management System on the project.
- Promote a positive health & safety culture with Site Management, subcontractors, and operatives.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and generate weekly EHS reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
- Attend site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and other HSE meetings as required.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Develop, maintain, and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
- Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor with a main contractor or subcontractor in Ireland or the UK is essential.
- Experience on new build residential projects is essential.
- Construction and M&E experience is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant reporting/database systems.
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel if required.
