Groundworks Foreman – Leixlip

Overview:
O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Groundworks Foreman for our client. The Foreman will join their team on a project based in Leixlip, working on road infrastructure improvements. The role involves supervising groundworks activities, coordinating site teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day civils operations on sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works.
- Checking plans, drawings, and levels for accuracy.
- Coordinate and supervise direct labour and subcontractors across groundworks and associated civil packages.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety team to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with Client engineers, management and architects.
- Drive quality on site, ensuring works are carried out to the required specification and standards.
Requirements:
- A strong background in Groundworks, Drainage, Pipe laying, laying ducting, Pouring, and finishing concrete floors, footpaths / streetscapes.
- Experience in similar type of utilities and/or public realm construction projects is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
- Proven record of seeing projects through from start to finish.
- Previous experience in a foreman or general foreperson role essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to give clear direction and get the best out of the team.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver work to tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements and site compliance.
