General Foreman – Kerry
D.O.E: €60k – €70k
Company Overview:
O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a General Foreman on behalf of our client, a main contractor delivering multiple ongoing projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will join their team on a new build residential development in County Kerry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
- Set up and secure the site, maintaining a professional appearance.
- Take possession of the site and coordinate trade activities.
- Arrange temporary service connections.
- Interpret drawings/specifications and communicate requirements to site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are completed for high-risk activities.
- Obtain outstanding information and confirm verbal instructions.
- Support project approvals to maintain programme (e.g. hoarding licences).
- Review buildability and identify opportunities to improve programme and cost efficiency.
- Implement environmental controls in line with the HSE plan.
- Attend and record site, subcontractor and internal meetings, issuing actions and minutes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Site supervision experience with a trades background.
- Experience overseeing residential projects from initial stages to completion.
- External/Façade/Brickwork experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards.
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects.
- Must have the ability to manage the multi-disciplinary teams of contactors & site operatives.
