Overview
O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting an experienced Bricklaying Foreman on behalf of our client, a leading contractor with multiple live projects. The successful candidate will join the site team on a construction project in Cork.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise and coordinate bricklayers and labourers on site.
- Plan and organise daily bricklaying and blockwork activities.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and setting-out information.
- Monitor the quality of brickwork and blockwork, ensuring works meet required standards.
- Coordinate materials, deliveries and labour requirements to maintain progress.
- Liaise closely with the Site Manager and other trades to ensure works are completed efficiently.
- Ensure all bricklaying activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Bricklaying Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong bricklaying background with extensive knowledge of brickwork and blockwork.
- Proven experience supervising bricklaying teams on construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of setting out, levels, dimensions and construction details.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to achieve demanding quality and programme targets while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
