O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for an experienced Finishing Manager on behalf of a leading Tier 1/2 main contractor, for a major commercial new build project based in North Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme at a critical stage of delivery, overseeing the internal finishing packages while supporting the wider site team to drive programme, quality, and subcontractor coordination through to completion.
We are looking for a hands-on and highly organised Finishing Manager with previous experience delivering high-value commercial projects with recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating internal finishing trades on site
- Driving quality standards and ensuring works are delivered in line with programme
- Conducting snagging and de-snagging inspections
- Working closely with subcontractors, site management, and client representatives
- Monitoring health & safety compliance across work areas
- Assisting with handover processes and quality assurance documentation
- Supporting external works and civils coordination where required
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on large commercial new build projects
- Previous experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors
- Strong eye for detail and quality control
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS Card
Advantageous Experience
- Exposure to civils or external works packages would be beneficial due to the current phase of the build.
Package
- Negotiable day rate dependent on experience
- Long-term freelance opportunity (6 months+)
