Finishing Foreman – Athlone

D.O.E: €65K – €75K

 

Overview:

O’Neill & Brennan are recruiting a Finishing Foreman to join a main contractor on a large pharmaceutical project in Athlone. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external finishing works, ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standard, on programme, and in compliance with health & safety and quality requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works.
  • Supervise and direct subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Ensure all finishes meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out.
  • Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress against programme and report issues or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports.
  • Assist with handover processes, including final inspections and client walkthroughs.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Construction Management and/ or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Must have internals and finishing experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of trades, and in particular, carpentry.
  • Background in residential construction desirable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards.
  • An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
