D.O.E: €60k – €80k

Overview:

O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client, a leading contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the commercial team across construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Review drawings, specifications and 3D models to prepare accurate quantities.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with tender documents and proposals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks.
• Liaise with project, procurement and finance teams throughout the estimating process.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating, ideally within construction.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, materials and methodologies.
• Proficient in estimating software and Excel.
• Ability to accurately interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
