Carpenter (2nd fix)

Job Title: Second Fix Carpenter

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Pay Rate: £21–£24 per hour (dependent on experience)

O'Neill and Brennan are seeking a reliable and skilled Second Fix Carpenter to join our site team in Bridgwater. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to deliver a high-quality finish across a range of joinery tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all aspects of second fix carpentry, including:

  • Hanging internal and external doors

  • Fitting skirting boards, architraves, and trims

  • Installing kitchens, cabinets, wardrobes, and bespoke joinery

  • Completing boxing-in, linings, and finishing works

  • Fitting ironmongery (handles, locks, hinges)

• Work from drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

• Work efficiently without compromising quality or safety

• Communicate effectively with site management and other trades

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Second Fix Carpenter

• CSCS card (or equivalent)

• Good understanding of health & safety on site

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused
