O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Building Services Engineer on behalf of our Client, a leading construction company who specialise in infrastructure & fit outs, with various ongoing projects across the country.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience with a main contractor. This is a Dublin based project.

Building Services Engineer Responsibilities

  • Working within the M&E team, the Building Services Engineer (Pre-Construction) focus initially on projects recently awarded for activities concerned with Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Identify effective Mechanical/Electrical elements of the project.
  • Provide accurate and informed reporting of the project to Management and Project teams.
  • Assist the Senior Services Manager and Design Manger on the project

Building Services Engineer Requirements

  • M&E background and/or a Third Level qualification in either Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a similar role is essential –
  • Previous Main Contractor experience is preferred, ideally projects experience in Health Care/Pharma/Industrial/Data preferable.
  • Good Knowledge of Installation and commissioning.
  • Excellent IT skills – knowledge of Revit/BIM, Microsoft.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational / planning skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
