£55,000 to £65,000 per year.

Do you have a background in the commercial refurbishment sector Have you got experience working with period buildings Are you looking for the next big step in your career path with a respected and established company We may well have just the job you are looking for.

My client is sector leading main contractor with over a 100 years of history and experience behind them. This position has come available due to recent internal promotion and structure reshuffle. The role will initially be based on a £2M refurbishment of a grade 2 listed building in Mayfair. The project is scheduled to start at the end of May, immediate start available for the right candidate. Reporting to an office based Contracts Manager the successful candidate will see you take control of the day to day running of the site primary responsibilities including:

·       Oversee operations on a day to day basis, from inception to completion

·       Responsible for managing/ monitoring sub-contractors

·       liaising with suppliers and labour agencies

·       Ensuring all work is carried out to a high-quality standard

·       Carry out Risk Assessments /Method Statements (RAMS) build quality

·       Management of site health and safety

Previous experience with commercial refurbishment or similar is essential applicants without relevant experience will not be considered. Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

·       Qualified, experienced Site Manager with a minimum of SMSTS/5 day First Aid

·       A strong all round construction background

·       Fluent English, spoken and written

·       A strong on Health and Safety management, production of detailed method statements, be literate, numerate and good IT skills.

·       The personality/ ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels – i.e. site team and management/ planning team

·       Can manage and schedule project works to ensure overall programme of the scheme is achieved.

·       Adaptable and flexible – able to mediate where necessary
