Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Stratford, London

Rate: £300 - £350 per day (cis)

We have an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor in Stratford for a well-known Main Contractor within the Construction industry. The individual must be someone who is keen, self-motivated, energetic and able to manage packages with minimal management from above. You will be working on new build RC frame residential project consisting of 100 units and a value of £10 million. It would be ideal if you have worked on these projects before. This is long term work so we are looking for a candidate with a stable work history.

Skills and responsibilities

• Determination of budget(s) and cost plan(s) for approval in cooperation with peers
• Preparation of monthly cost report for approval by commercial lead
• Producing procurement strategies and setting buying gain targets
• Preparation of reports as required
• Identifying risks and opportunities
• Liaising with the technical team and design consultants so as to ensure design concepts and proposals are developed in line with the approved budgets and procurement tracker
• Monitoring changes so as to continuously identify the status of costs
• Liaising with all members of the project team, including but not limited to construction, technical, sales, finance, customer service and estate management colleagues
