£50,000 - £55,000 per annum


We are looking to appoint a competent and an experienced Project Manager to control two to three projects at one time from inception to occupation of values ranging from £150k to £1M. You should be able to work independently with confidence and decisiveness. The candidates should ideally come from a design and build background, with experience in Healthcare or Commercial projects and have previously been responsible as a project manager. The position is head office based in Leicester but projects will be nationwide (Mostly in and around London) so flexibility to travel will be essential.


Be responsible for overall project delivery from inception to completion, duties could typically include development of programmes, cost plans, risk registers, construction contracts and subcontractors, site monitoring, health and safety.

  • Obtain all guarantees, warranties and documentation throughout the project as required.
  • To appoint and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, and recognise the potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Works with clients/developers and designers to define and scope and deliverables of the project and develop this as objectives change.
  • Producer regular project reports both externally and internally.
  • Creating risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks as they are encountered.
  • Developing and implementing a full project programme to meet project objectives within an agreed time frame, guiding design, procurement and build.
  • Work with the commercial teams to procure and manage all cost and payment aspects of the projects to the desired targets.


  • Minimum of five years’ progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in project management or contracts management. Alternatively, a site/construction manager who has been carrying out enhanced duties on larger projects for the past five years and is ready to take a step up.
  • Experience of budget management; Determining, monitoring, analysing and controlling project costs and outcomes to ensure they meet financial objectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and work in close partnership with clients and external consultants.
  • Self-motivated, proactive with positive can do attitude. Highly organised and excellent communicator. Someone who takes any problems or issues and deals with them promptly and without hesitation.
  • Experience of a range of procurement methods.
  • Eagerness to use your own initiative and ensure work is delivered on time within a quality framework.
  • Good analytical and organizational abilities are of great importance.
  • Possess good leadership ability, as well as ability to work as part of a team and even lead the project team when called upon.
  • Ability to travel to sites and head office.
  • Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Project programming software and all other standard Office software.
