Trainee Sales Advisor - Cambridge - £21,000 + OTE

If you have a natural ability to engage and influence people and are motivated by working to demanding goals and targets then we have the perfect job for you.

We are working with a very well respected, new build housing developer who are looking for motivated and energetic people to join their team as a Sales Trainee in the Cambridgeshire area. 

You will be provided with a full induction and structured training programme covering a range of skills, supported by on-going advice and guidance from the Sales and Marketing teams.


  • Dealing with all prospective/existing customers in a professional and engaging manner to ensure the best customer experience.
  • Achieving sales of properties and extras to suitable customers in line with agreed targets e.g. legal completions, average selling price.
  • Providing expertise in the Company’s house types, specifications, and the buying procedure.
  • Using purchasing incentives effectively to ensure a good flow of sales whilst maximising profit.
  • Promoting Company mortgage arrangements, including referral to Independent Mortgage Advice, managing transactions and ensuring timely completions.
  • Maintaining the presentation of sales arena, stock plots and the sales office.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork and site administration is up to date, and required reports completed.
  • Conducting local market research.
  • Ensuring high standards of Health and Safety on site.

About you:

  • Experience of delivering sales in a service environment e.g. house building, retail, hospitality, banking, estate agency
  • Commercially astute with a good understanding of the market and competitors
  • Understands and acts upon customer needs to maintain Company reputation
  • Thrives on challenge, is resilient and driven to achieve personal and organisational targets
  • Keeps up to date with new thinking including legislation, economic conditions and technology
  • Communicates and negotiates persuasively – capable of influencing others assertively, building rapport with customers
  • Encourages and supports people in the team, sharing knowledge and best practice
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Flexible with working pattern, must be able to work weekends and bank holidays
