A new opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join one of the country’s leading main contractors, to deliver a £13million new build school in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The business is one of the UK’s leading plc main contractors, with this site part of a new region targeted for growth within the Oxfordshire area, where they have a healthy order book.

As Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of this new academy, due to commence groundworks shortly. Long-term, there is clear scope for this individual to become an established Site Manager within the region or target progression to Project Manager.

The company is committed to developing long-term careers for their employees, investing in them to enhance their career prospects and continued progression.

You will be experienced within main contracting; a respected Site Manager with experience of working for leading main contractors and a track record of working on successful high-quality projects.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience as Site Manager delivering high quality new build projects up to £10million build cost.
    • Ability to drive high performance teams, achieving targets for health & safety, quality, programme and customer service.
    • Manage the health & safety as a priority across site operations, ensuring everyone on site is in accordance with company procedures.
    • Ability to plan and make decisions, take accountability for, and justify actions; ensuring teams deliver on those decisions.
    • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and trades to ensure they are meeting key build milestones.
    • Comfortable working with modern IT systems and BIM.
      • SMSTS, CSCS Manager’s card and First Aid qualified.
      • Member of CIOB (desirable not essential).
