A new opportunity for an experienced residential Site Manager to join a leading national contractor, delivering long-term new build housing schemes in Cardiff.

The position will be as Site Manager leading either a 16, 30 or 50-unit housing scheme in Cardiff, delivering a mix of apartments and houses through traditional methods.

The successful candidate will need to display a hunger to succeed in site management, thrive off working within a multi-faceted environment, and hold excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.

Experience of delivering residential schemes, either as main contractor or housebuilder, is crucial for any candidate to be considered.

These sites are part of a high profile regeneration scheme, and is part of a fast-paced programme within a successful and growing company.

The company are a leading national contractor, family-owned, with an excellent reputation as one of the most desirable contractors to work for.

You will currently be an established Site Manager within the residential market, working either for a developer or contractor. It is crucial that the candidate possesses a passion for quality and customer service.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Track record of delivering residential sites/phases as Site Manager from start to finish.
  • Ability to drive high performance teams, achieving targets for health & safety, quality, programme and customer service.
  • Key focus on customer service to ensure quality of build on handover.
  • Able to identify areas to improve build programme without risking quality.
  • Manage the health & safety as a priority across site operations, ensuring everyone on site is in accordance with company procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ability to plan and make decisions, take accountability for, and justify actions; ensuring teams deliver on those decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and trades to ensure they are meeting key build milestones.
  • Co-operate and work closely with the National House Building Council (NHBC) to carry out site and plot inspections.
  • A natural and engaging communication style, demonstrating a passion and excellence for developing trusting, sustainable and robust relationships both internally and externally.
  • SMSTS, CSCS Manager’s card and First Aid qualified.
  • Member of CIOB (desirable not essential).

Desired Candidate Profile

An experienced Site Manager who can demonstrate the ability to deliver impressive results and develop excellent stakeholder relations. Someone who understands the challenges of the housing industry, and is able to drive build programme whilst maintaining safety as a priority.

You will be able to illustrate the ability to lead successful teams, using this role to further enhance your reputation as an excellent Site Manager within the housing industry, someone who can motivate teams to high performance levels.
