A leading high-end housebuilder in Wales are looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager, with several new sites in East Wales due to come live.

Holding an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality homes, this is a great opportunity to join a family-run housebuilder on an exciting growth plan.

With a reputation for delivering high-end sites of four, five and six bed homes, along with new sites coming to the fore ranging from 100-150 units building premium two, three and four bed houses – this really is a great time to join an excellent company, with a passion for high quality homes and desire for awards.

The successful candidate will need to display a hunger to succeed in site management, thrive off working within a multi-faceted environment, and hold excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management. You will be an established and motivated Assistant Site Manager within the residential market, with a desire for continued professional development. It is crucial that the candidate possesses a passion for quality and customer service.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Support the Site Manager to ensure quality homes are completed in time and on budget.
  • Work alongside the Site Manager to manage health & safety as a priority across site operations, ensuring everyone on site is in accordance with company procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management - maintain clear and open relations at all times with a positive attitude, ensuring build milestones are met.
  • Key focus on customer service to ensure quality of build on handover, working in adherence to NHBC standards and Considerate Constructors Scheme.
    • Co-operate and work closely with the NHBC to carry out site and plot inspections.
    • Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health & Safety legislation.
    • Ability to drive high performance teams, achieving targets for health & safety, quality, programme and customer service.
    • Able to identify areas to improve build programme without risking quality.
    • Experience of timber frame construction in a site management capacity on residential sites.
    • A natural and engaging communication style, demonstrating a passion and excellence for developing trusting, sustainable and robust relationships both internally and externally.
    • SMSTS, CSCS Manager’s card and First Aid qualified.
    • Member of CIOB (desirable not essential).

Desired Candidate Profile

An ambitious Assistant Site Manager who can demonstrate the ability to deliver impressive results and develop excellent stakeholder relations. Someone who understands the challenges of the housing industry, and is able to drive build programme whilst maintaining safety as a priority.

You will be able to illustrate the ability to lead successful teams, using this role to further enhance your development to Site Manager within the housebuilding industry, someone who can motivate teams to high performance levels.
