Our client is a leading Residential Housebuilder based in Hertfordshire. 

ROLE: Our client is a Residential Housebuilder based in Hertfordshire and have projects over the immediate area which includes Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The client builds quality residential housing. They have projects around the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire area and need a Site Manager to manage an existing site in Bedfordshire. The role of Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful running of their site. The role could include nut isn't limited to;

  • Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor cost
  • Oversseing the operations of a site on a day-to-day basis
  • Coordinating and supervising construction workers including several sub-contractors on site
  • Managing both internal and external construction works on site
  • Management of work program
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Ensuring the project runs on time, safely and to budget
  • Carrying out risk assessments and method statements
  • Management of Inductions

LOCATION: Our client is extremely busy and has both current and upcoming sites across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire so Site Managers living in these counties would be perfectly placed for these roles.

PERSON: You will need to be an Site Manager currently who has worked on Residential New Build projects. This would suit someone who has had at least a couple of years’ experience as a Site Manager and ideally you will have worked for a decent sized Housebuilder. Our client has a great working environment and you will be able to make decisions without having to go up the food chain. This role is for someone who is currently in a full time, permanent role and looking for a new challenge. This role will be incredibly hands on. You must have these core skills; Good communication skills, Problem solving skills, Decision-making ability, Commercial awareness, Ability to motivate others, Team working skills and a Good knowledge of building methods and regulations

PACKAGE: In return for the above experience our client will pay between £35-50k basic with performance bonus, company car or car allowance, contribution pension and private healthcare.
