About this Role:
A perm Site Agent is required to manage a Roads Package and Remediation Package on an 88-acre civils heavy high-end residential development in West London.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working on highways projects and will responsible for ensuring that work is being carried out in accordance with the RAMS and in line with company Health, safety and environmental procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience on heavy civils projects such as bridges and basements over £5m.

You will also have to carry out toolbox talks, keep electronic site dairies, day sheets report to internal management.

The main purpose of the role is to maintain efficient productivity and to manage resources on site.

 

Project Overview

  • Earthworks include 88 acres of remediated treated soil recycled from site won material. Excavations 5m deep
  • Highway and footpath construction approximately 2.1km in length
  • Utilities include mains power, gas, water and comms.
  • Sheet piling and concrete capping beamworks to the Grand Union Canal (Paddington Arm)

 

Main Duties

  • Direct the work of operatives and sub-contractors
  • Ensure environmental systems are implemented satisfactorily
  • Contribute to the preparation of programme
  • Plan and order materials and plant to achieve programmes
  • Keep daily records of work carried out
  • Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes
  • Ensure all plant on site is suitable for the task and conforms to current legislation
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

 

Are you the person we are looking for

We need someone who is conscientious, hardworking, IT competent and is excellent at keeping records. Must also have experience in people management and motivation of staff.

Already experienced as a Package Manager with previous experience in highways, infrastructure, structures and flood and river protection, you will also have relevant industry experience and qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work. NRSWA would also be desirable.

BEng Degree or HNC is essential. This site is heavily contaminated and calls for large-scale remediation works.

 

As Site Agent you will play an incremental part within the operations team, holding responsibility for the day to day management of the project, either dedicated to a single large project or working across a number of smaller projects.

 

Key Accountabilities:

To take full responsibility for controlling all physical elements of the work from commencement through to the issue of the Defects Certificate. 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

You will have an extensive background in trades and site management working for a main contractor within the Civil Engineering sector. Current or previous highway experience would be a distinct advantage along with knowledge of measuring work for roads/bridges.
