A new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established, privately owned main contractor to work on a signature project for the South West of England, on the outskirts of Bristol.

The role will be based on a £13million exciting leisure project, delivering a facility that is one of the first of its kind. Holding commercial responsibility for this project, you will be part of a team delivering a new attracting for the South West.

The company has been in operation in excess of 100 years; with a confirmed pipeline of work ahead in Bristol and the surrounding areas, they are well positioned for continued success in this region.

Further, this role will bring exposure to high profile stakeholders and clients. The successful candidate will have experience of commercially leading projects in excess of £7million, having trained as a Quantity Surveyor. Main contractor experience is essential.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience working for a main contractor on projects in excess of £7million.
  • Strong commercial awareness; ability to identify profitable opportunities, risk, and threats early in a project are crucial.
  • A natural and engaging communication style, demonstrating a passion and excellence for developing trusting, sustainable and robust relationships both internally and externally.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent.
  • Member of RICS (desirable not essential).
