We're lucky to be working for a great Regional Housebuilder who manage small to large projects across the Northern Home Counties region 

ROLE: Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage a projects in and around Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire & Hertfordshire. Role includes but isn’t limited to;

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
• Perform risk, value management and cost control;
• Advise on a procurement strategy;
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
• Allocate work to subcontractors;
• Provide advice on contractual claims;
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
• Value completed work and arrange payments;
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

LOCATION: This role is based on-site and from our clients HQ which is based in Northern Homes Counties. Someone living in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire are probably best.

PERSON: Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with proven experience managing housebuilding projects. Key attributes are; 

• A degree or professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS);
• Budgeting skills;
• IT and maths skills;
• Organisational and planning skills;
• Negotiation and planning skills;
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times, with a keen eye for finishing detail and taking pride in the end product.

You should ideally be working in a full time position however our client will consider excellent freelance candidates too.

PACKAGE: Our client offers a comprehensive package including a basic salary of up to £60k plus performance/project based bonus, company car, mobile phone, laptop and private healthcare.
