£65,000 - £80,000 per annum


A new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join one of the country’s leading main contractors, to deliver a £13million new build school in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The business is one of the UK’s leading plc main contractors, with this site part of a new region targeted for growth within the Oxfordshire area, where they have a healthy order book.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for successfully leading this new academy, due to commence groundworks shortly. Long-term, the incentive for this individual is to become the lead Project Manage for the region.

The company is committed to developing long-term careers for their employees, investing in them to enhance their career prospects and continued progression.

You will be experienced within main contracting; a respected Project Manager with experience of working for leading main contractors and a track record of successfully delivering high-quality projects.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading construction teams delivering high quality new build projects up to £10million build cost.
  • Track record of managing and successfully delivering projects on time and budget, in live environments, as the project no. 1 project leader.
  • Take responsibility for the success, safety, quality, delivery, and programme compliance of all construction activities, whilst maintaining a good relationship with the client, consultants and trade contractors in order to secure further opportunities.
  • Offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
  • Produce and prepare regular project reports and attend project meetings.
  • Comfortable working with modern IT systems and BIM.
  • An ability to implement and uphold Health & Safety strategies and awareness.
  • Chair meetings with the client, the designers, specialist contractors and other team members.
  • Inspire commitment from others.
  • Member of CIOB (desirable not essential).
