O’Neill & Brennan, Ireland’s leading construction recruitment agency, are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, an established fit-out company with a variety of departments such as design, installation, manufacturing and warehouse.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Joinery Workshop Production Manager to join their team in their Head Office in Dublin 12.

This is a permanent full time position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Ensure the efficient functioning of daily operations by achieving shipping schedules, maintaining equipment documentation, managing the daily production schedule and plan, maintaining stock levels  etc.
  • Active involvement in the company continuous improvement initiatives and any other similar project
  • Ensure the highest quality standards by performing quality checks on all jobs at all stages of production and coordinating with warehouse, dispatch and installation teams handing over items.
  • Build a motivated, competent and results focused team and work with other departments to develop, train and up skill the team
  • Facilitate investigation, trouble shooting and reporting on system failures, product defects and customer complaints 
  • Ensure all aspects of work order packages and documentation are accurately reviewed in addition to time sheets and material reconciliations and are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain effective open communication within the team and foster cross-functional relationships
  • Support new product introductions and change procedures working in conjunction with QA and Technical Departments
  • People management of the production area with regards to resourcing, manpower and performance management
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports to document efficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement of run rates
  • Conducting of the Appraisal and Review process for production staff with regular assessment of performance levels and achievements
  • Drive a culture of excellent adherence to Health & Safety of all employees through the maintenance of a safe working environment
  • Actively promote and participate in improvement groups, to improve quality, reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve working methods, conditions and communications

The successful candidate will require:

  • Qualifications in the Trade/Carpentry field
  • 4+ years of experience relevant to this role is essential
  • Full driving license is needed
  • Strong, successful performance history in a people management role is necessary
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience/qualification would be a strong advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent computer literacy skills e.g. MS Excel, Word etc.
  • The ability to be flexible and to adapt to the challenges of a fast-paced environment as well as surges in activity seasonal-dependant.
  • Investment in the growth and improvement of the business
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage several activities concurrently
  • Thorough working knowledge of production and quality system requirements
