Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrician)

The post holder will be required to work on contracts in the Central and West Central area, the role will cover self delivery of PPM, reactive and small works. Ensure that the PPM works are delivered in a timely fashion in line with the agreed PPM planner. The post holder will be expected to carry out repairs outside of their core trades. Office Based Glasgow, will be covering Perth & Kinross Contracts.


  1. To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of various contracts.

  1. To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work as per the agreed client programme

  1. To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the client teams.

  1. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools.

  1. To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures.

  1. To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Contracts Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required.

  1. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.

  1. To provide support and assistance to other personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services

  1. The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.

  1. To carry out any other duties assigned by your line manager in connection with operational requirements.

  2. Be available to be added to existing on- call rota


  • Fully time served Electrician with minimum of 5 years’ experience in installation, maintenance, reactive and PPM work.

  • Hold latest BS 7671 IEE Wiring Regs 17th Edition

  • C&G2391 or equivalent

  • Experience in electrical power distribution systems/lighting systems and fault finding
  • Hold a current valid IPAF / MEWP license
  • Ability to work with PDA / Smart devices for job management
  • Excellent Customer Care
  • Ability to work either on own initiative or within a team
  • Ability to work safely at all times
  • Ability to cover tasks out with core skill (plumbing / fabric)
