O’Neill & Brennan, Ireland’s leading construction recruitment agency are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly renowned construction company spanning across the globe. The company is seeking an MEP Services Co-ordinator to join their team in Galway.

 

As a MEP Services Co-ordinator your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with MEP Financial Control & Change Control including keeping MEP QS fully informed of all potential Financial & Commercial issues,
  • Assessment of Sub-Contractor monthly applications for payment,
  • Managing the MEP Quality Control Including Snagging & De-snagging,
  • Managing the MEP Programme Control & Interfacing with Overall Construction Programme & Contract Administration,
  • Project Handover & Demonstrations,
  • Post Substantial Completion Actions/Management,
  • Developing and Implementing the Construction and Commissioning Strategies,
  • Liaising with building Project Managers on site progress & programme,
  • Maintaining and enhancing the JV relationships, and ensuring the JV is recognised as a high performing team,
  • Provide accurate and timely data to the MEP Manager to enable them to report to the Project Director & Commercial Director,
  • Deliver the project to cost, time and quality,
  • Ensure that integration across the project is timely and developed in agreement with all parties, including the MEP Manager,
  • Interface & work with the other Project Leadership teams, whilst ensuring that the MEP Manager is kept abreast of all important issues,
  • Contribute to the development, communication and measurement of SMART key business objectives for the project delivery team members,
  • Promote knowledge sharing and learning. Contribute to the development of a team able to ‘think outside the box’,
  • Be responsible for obtaining necessary technical, Health & Safety and personal training and development to meet both external (legislation etc.) and internal (increased performance etc.) demands,
  • Ensure MEP Sub-Contractors take responsibility for their scope of works in line with the demarcation documents & Works Requirements E.g. Site Waste Management, etc.

The ideal MEP Services Co-ordinator will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in construction building services,
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar disciplines,
  • Ability to commute between sites as needed,
  • Competent using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM, Aconex, BIM Docs, BIM 360,
  • Experience working on residential or commercial projects coordinated in BIM.
