Our client is an Irish construction company proudly serving their customers for more than 20 years. The company seeking Health & Safety Officers of all levels (Jnr, Int and Snr) to work with their construction team in Dublin City.

 

Primary Responsibilities as Health & Safety Officer

 

  • Ensure that all Health and Safety safe operating procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and reviewed, updated and communicated to all employees.
  • Completion of risk assessments for all work equipment and activities taking place.
  • Completion of risk assessments for all work equipment and activities taking place.
  • Ensure that safety inspections are carried out and issue safety reports weekly
  • Conduct risk assessments, review and update existing risk assessments.
  • Deliver inductions and other trainings if required.
  • Liaise with the company safety team to continuously improve the company safety system.
  • Ensure all contractors are managed according to The Client EH&S requirements.
  • Check and sign off SPA’s daily - amend occasionally to include additional tasks.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings & look ahead meetings on site.
  • Safety walk with Client and review findings on site and whiteboard meetings
  • Toolbox talks- as frequently as needed.

 

Skills/Qualification:

 

  • A HSE Degree or /a construction related Degree/Diploma with post grad HSE qualification
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar HSE role, preferable with main Contractor
  • Have strong self-management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Full clean Driving license
