Contracts Manager

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum



ROLE: Our client is a Roofing Main & Sub-Contractor based in Hertfordshire and currently have a number of projects over th region. This  Contracts Manager will manage a number of small projects at any one time and will be responsible for all aspects of Project Management, Site Management and Cost Consultancy pre and post contrac. The Contracts Managers duties include preparation of tenders, cost planning, compiling estimates, contract administrative agreement of final accounts, value engineering and procurements / standardisation work. The role could include but isn't limited to;

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from inception to completion
  • Manage the delivery of projects, producing the required deliverables including budget, time constraints and quality requirements.
  • Implement the preparation and maintenance of Project Reports including programme, quality and cost
  • Advise and implement service supply appointments including tender selection and documentation etc.
  • Chair meetings as agreed with the client and where appointed direct/instruct on behalf of the client
  • Manage a number of projects at any one time
  • Manage all phases of the project and respond to all matters that may affect the client’s objective. Implement recognised project control techniques including value and risk management processes
  • Liaise with all client suppliers and operators to ensure the client brief and specification are adopted and delivered to agreed programmes
  • Manage on-going project reviews, change control and completion activities
  • Mentor colleagues to achieve relevant experience and qualification

LOCATION: Our client is looking for a strong Contract Manager living in or around North London, Hertfordshire or Essex although will consider canddiates living outside of these areas within reason.

PERSON: You will need to be a Contracts Manager who has predominantly worked on Industrial & Commercial Roofing projects. This would suit someone who has had at least a couple of years’ experience as a Contracts Manager and ideally you will have worked for a decent sized Roofing Contractor. Our client is experiencing significant growth so it's an exciting time to join the business. This role is for someone who is currently in a full time, permanent role and looking for a new challenge. This role will be incredibly hands on. You must have these core skills; Good communication skills, Problem solving skills, Decision-making ability, Commercial awareness, Ability to motivate others, Team working skills and a Good knowledge of building methods and regulations. Ability to manage a number of projects at any one time.

NOTE: You must  not be a freelancer and must have strong stability.

PACKAGE: In return for the above experience our client will pay between £40-60k basic so open on number of years experience as long as this person meets the above brief. Additionally this person will be get company car or car allowance & contribution pension
