Contract Manager

Calling all Contract managers

We have a unique opportunity to join one of the country’s market leaders in the sports field construction industry.

Based in head office the successful candidate will have responsibility to ensure that projects are managed in a consistent, commercial and professional manner from initial enquiry through procurement and delivery completion, settlement and archive of all relevant project material, in accordance with Quality, Environmental and H&S Management Systems.

  • Proactive business development, generate enquiries, follow up, convert to contracts, oversee contracts and assume complete financial accountability. To undertake all the foregoing in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Organise staff under your control, and maintain Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards.
  • Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities, whilst maintaining standards of excellence, ensuring the continuance of the company’s reputation and client satisfaction.
  • Produce significant contribution to annual turnover of contract work and related activities and demonstrate commercial viability.
  • Attend and contribute to Management Team Meetings, normally held on a monthly basis.

Person specification

As a member of a small head office team, individuals should be enthusiastic self-starters with initiative and be natural problem solvers. Be able to delegate responsibilities, supervise teams and drive works to a high standard, liaising with clients and co-workers in the best interests of the company and the performance of the project.

Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good level of knowledge through relevant work experience. A relevant qualification (further education) level would be an advantage. Driving Licence is essential as you will be expected to travel to carry out site visits.
