Our client, a leading Contractor in Site development and Civil infrastructure, are seeking a Construction & Procurement Administrator to join our team, based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Civil Engineering Firm.

This is a permanent role. Your duties will be reporting to the Procurement Manager and working closely with the site teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • General office administrative duties involved in the daily running of the Dublin office
  • Effectively dealing with day to day enquiries from all visitors to the Dublin office
  • Providing general administrative support to Senior Managers as required
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers, evaluation of supplier Prequalification Questionnaires and completing Credit Application forms.
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers on price and specifications
  • Issuing purchasing orders for materials, plant purchases repairs and hires
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Tender document control and maintenance of tender register
  • Sending out material and subcontract enquiries for tenders and reviewing orders via Etender
  • Maintaining site order book and reconciling orders with delivery dockets

Requirements

  • Experience in construction industry
  • Document controller experience an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording information
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word etc
  • Minimum 1 year administration
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver on strict deadlines
