An award-winning construction company is recruiting a Communications Assistant for a role that will be based in Co Kildare.

Our client is a leading building contractor with a long-standing reputation for integrity, professionalism, innovation and excellence. You’ll be an important part of an organisation that is shaping the future of the construction industry in Ireland.

 

Description

You would be working proactively as a member of the Business Development Team to carry out assigned duties and to help achieve the unit’s objectives and targets.


 
Responsibilities include:
 

  • Assisting primarily in relation to creating connections and greater communication across the company through digital media.
  • Editing and updating the intranet to promote internal networking, collaboration and engagement
  • Liaising with contributors/editors and IT to ensure internal communications are engaging and relevant
  • Promoting our new Intranet and Yammer - our internal social media platform
  • Assisting with General tasks including; Maintaining Prequalification information database
  • Researching, identifying and reporting projects of interest
  • Providing ad hoc information to third parties
  • Reviewing daily newspapers in search of project ads, project leads and any other items about our company or the industry
  • Minute taking at Marketing Meetings
  • Preparing prequalification submissions

Job Requirements

  • Technical and Industry knowledge with a Communications, Public Relations or Business qualification
  • Experience in digital media
  • Strong social media skills in a business context – able to plan and execute then measure a social media campaign.
  • Experience in journalism / technical writing
  • Ability to work to strict multiple deadlines
  • Good team player, flexible, adaptable, reliable and punctual
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint, digital media an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Excellent document presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
