Bid Administrator

Our client is a leading building contractor with a long-standing reputation for integrity, professionalism, innovation and excellence. They are currently looking for a Bid Administrator to join their team based in Kildare.

Responsibilities of the Bid Administrator:

  • To carry out all administration activities for the team to ensure smooth timely running of processes.
  • Assist Bid Coordinators with accurate and timely bid preparation and submission.
  • To assist in the administration of bid documentation and record keeping.
  • Identifying and resolving queries with the relevant parties.
  • Developing and maintaining compelling relationships with all stake-holders.
  • Maintain online database and electronic files.
  • Actively contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Provide performance data to support preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Ensure bid prep team are aware of internal finalisation dates & advise team so a timely submission can be managed
  • Maintaining professional client facing approach and excellent customer service to both new and existing clients.

Requirements of the Bid Administrator:

  • Experience within the construction sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent organisation & administrative skills with strong attention to detail, strong time management / prioritisation skills & evidence of previous experience
  • Flexibility to cope with several jobs simultaneously to agreed deadlines
  • Numerical confidence, with the ability to analyse budgets, excellent financial and commercial acumen
  • MS Office, particularly advanced levels of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Written skills including ability to summarise complex documents
  • High standard of both written and spoken English
  • Editing and proof-reading skills & high level of accuracy
  • Professional with strong communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Education to degree level would be preferable
  • Research skills desirable
