O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for an Accountant for our client based in Meath. The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant with minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably within the construction industry.

Accountant duties include:

• Strong management accounts experience Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Weekly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit returns for payroll & VAT & VIES on ROS.
• Preparation/overview of monthly cash flows and management of Credit Exchange system.
• Responsible for processing of accruals and prepayments at month end.
• Overview of preparation and issuing customer invoicing.
• Preparation of year end audit file and liaising with external auditors on any matters they may have.
• Preparation of annual budgets.
• Preparation of month end and year end accounts.

Accountant requirements:

• Qualified Accountant
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in the Construction Industry
• Strong IT skills
• Good knowledge of accounting IT Systems
• Strong initiative and ability to develop
• Self-motivator, confident and well organise
