Job Purpose:

The person is responsible for all installation activities. Using the information provided at time of sale, this person will be responsible for delivering the project, ensuring it meets customer expectations, quality, compliance and budget. They must plan, organise and implement the operations of the business as effectively and efficiently as possible whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

This person must come with PV installation experience, we are looking someone who can be passed an order/design for a project and from this co-ordinate, schedule, order and supervise the installation works. Our main business is sub-contracting into the M&E industry completing PV installations on new builds ranging from schools, hospitals, apartment blocks to volume housing.  We want this person to be responsible for the Operations in the UK region and ideally be based in the London area where most of our current works is located.

This person ideally will be mainly responsible for the co-ordinating of the 1st fix (installing the solar panels on the roof), so ideally someone who has been doing these hands on historically but has progressed into a more contracts management role. Although we no longer expect you to be involved hands on, on site, previous experience will allow you to co-ordinate and understand the requirements on site

Main Duties:

  • Manage the projects and ensure they are being completed to the expected standard and processes are being followed
  • Finalise design and ensure it is compliant with specification, client requirements and regulations
  • Survey projects to ensure project design and BoM is correct and installation method can be determined to increase efficiency of project
  • Co-ordinate and organise installations as required
  • Organise the fitting teams and logistics of installations
  • Communicate with site representatives to schedule work well in advance of installation date • Ensure projects are completed on budget
  • Develop specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements for installations • Generate O&M documentation for projects and ensure all relevant paperwork has been submitted and filed correctly
  • Conduct H&S site inspections and requirements
  • Provide feedback on Operations performance and costs to Sales and Estimating for continual improvement on process
  • Research, investigate and understand the products and services involved in specific projects
  • Organise, resolve, and complete remedials or site issues
  • Continually develop and implement processes to maximise efficiencies.
